Vancouver, Canada, and Knoxville, Tennessee, October 15th, 2018 – Solar Alliance Energy Inc. (‘Solar Alliance’ or the ‘Company’) (TSX-V: SOLR) is pleased to announce that Mike Stevens Homes, based in Knoxville, Tennessee, is the first residential developer to join the Company’s Residential Builder program and will begin marketing the SunBox system. Solar Alliance recently launched SunBox, a new product offering that provides a simple, efficient solar system specifically designed for architects, new home builders and their customers. SunBox is a standardized system consisting of two sizes of standard residential systems that include battery storage. Options for SunBox include a generator for whole home backup and an Electric Vehicle Charger. Solar Alliance is selectively partnering with architects, developers and homebuilders that will integrate this permit-ready solar offering into their existing home designs for new construction, with the primary customer base consisting of developers building large, multi-home communities.
“We are proud to partner with Mike Stevens Homes,” said Solar Alliance VP Harvey Abouelata. “The residential package was specifically designed with both performance and aesthetics in mind to enhance the homebuilder’s product and we look forward to working with Mike Stevens Homes to provide a simple, permit-ready solar and affordable solar system to new homeowners.”
“We have built hundreds of homes in the south east and are always looking for new ways to improve our product,” said Jon Stevens, President of Mike Stevens Homes. “Until recently, we have not found a power generation solution that meets our standards of design, performance simplicity and cost effectiveness. With the Solar Alliance residential SunBox solar package we can finally offer our clients renewable energy and back up electricity at an affordable price.”
Solar Alliance is also pleased to announce that it will be promoting the SunBox product, and our relationship with Mike Stevens Homes, at the Knoxville Parade of Homes in October 2018. The Parade of Homes offers visitors the opportunity to visit new homes located in Knox and surrounding counties. Solar Alliance will initially offer the standard offer program in Tennessee, followed by entry into the North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky and California markets. The addressable market is significant and California has already mandated all new homes are required to have solar starting in 2020.
