What Size SunBox System Do I Need?
SunBox is designed to fit each customers’ needs and cut down on the length of both the buying and solar panel installation process. We offer 4 separate sizes determined by typical homeowner and homebuilder needs across the United States.
- 3 kW – This size includes 10 solar panels that produce on average around 4,800 kWh each year. This is enough energy to charge your electric vehicle.
- 5 kW – This system fits on a two-car garage and delivers 6,800 kWh per year with 14 panels.
- 7 kW – The 7kW solar system outputs the amount of energy needed to power the average American home. You receive 20 solar panels and can expect 9,600 kWh per year.
- 9.49 kW – The largest system we offer fits on the average American roof comes with 26 solar panels, delivering 12,300 kWh annually. This is the best option if your home has high energy usage.
Each SunBox option is fully customizable. We can add ground mounts, generators and additional electric vehicle chargers. You can also combine systems to receive a higher kW but still get the great value and low cost that comes with an optimized solar system kit.
How SunBox Benefits Homeowners
SunBox is an ideal choice for environmentally conscious homeowners looking for cost-effective green energy solutions. Here are a few of the benefits of investing in the SunBox system for your home.
An All-in-One Solution
The SunBox contains everything you need to start using solar power right away. When you choose the SunBox Plus, you’ll have peace of mind knowing you also have a backup power supply in the event of an emergency.
When you start using a SunBox system, you’ll gain energy independence that minimizes your reliance on the national electric grid. This independence will reduce your susceptibility to rising electricity costs, saving you money on your utility bills. SunBox also has a strong return on investment, typically paying for itself after several years.
The SunBox is a renewable energy solution that reduces toxic emissions. Electricity from the grid is produced by burning non-renewable fossil fuels, which creates greenhouse gases that damage the environment and people’s health. By switching to a solar energy system, you can help reduce greenhouse gases and contribute to a healthier environment.
Increased Property Value
Installing the SunBox updates your home’s exterior and increases its value. Buyers typically consider solar systems a major home upgrade, like a renovated kitchen or finished basement. They’ll pay more for a home that comes with a built-in, sustainable power supply that will save them money over time.
The SunBox solar system needs little maintenance to stay in top condition. It’s built with durable properties to withstand the elements, requiring minimal repairs over its lifetime.
How SunBox Works
The SunBox is a complete solar system that has everything you need to produce your own electricity. Each SunBox system includes:
- Solar panels.
- An inverter.
- Battery storage.
The solar panels contain photovoltaic (PV) cells that capture sunlight to produce direct current (DC) electricity. The optimizers increase energy output from the PV cells for maximum performance, and the inverter changes DC electricity to alternating current (AC) electricity, which is compatible with most homes. The converted electricity feeds into your electrical panel to power your home.
