How is Solar Still Saving Money & Supporting Jobs?

Solar continues in 2025 to offer a clean, abundant source of energy to power businesses, communities and everyday lives!  Imagine going from total grid reliance and rising utility prices to producing your own energy for a fraction of that expense.  Imagine reducing downtime during power outages by having your own energy storage system to keep your facilities running.  It’s happening today for those businesses moving toward energy independence.

How will the existing power system expand enough to meet the nation’s electricity needs in the future? Solar is already working to meet this challenge. According to the Solar Energy Industries Association, solar made up 66% of all new grid capacity in the United States last year. Energy storage continues to play critical roles in grid stabilization. The newly launched Solar Powers America effort by SEIA promotes energy independence while rallying for continued clean energy tax credits that have benefited business owners.

The solar industry is creating more skilled jobs and supporting economic development

How Have We Contributed Recently?

Solar Alliance contributions to the US Southeast economic development in just 2023-2024 include:

• Installation of more than 5,124 kilowatts of clean, solar energy

• Provision of 20 full-time jobs annually while supporting regional suppliers and subcontractors

• Enabling more than a dozen manufacturing and technology companies to lower electricity costs with solar PV or solar PV + storage

• Support of seven nonprofit municipalities, churches or educational facilities with low-cost, renewable energy

• Facilitation of more than $256,200 in Rural Energy for America Program funds for solar projects supporting small, rural businesses and jobs in rural America

Which Manufacturers are Leading the Way?

We’ve been working with a manufacturing leader that not only set out to produce its own, lower-cost solar energy, but added the resilience of large-scale battery storage. Listen here to the podcast where AESSEAL Inc. reveals its motivation and mastery of renewable energy planning.
